Obviously it's not Sunday. I had a baby shower to attend yesterday morning (C asked where the baby was "taking a shower") and I wasn't home for the rest of the day. When I did get home, I was exhausted and C was restless, so I decided to wait to post.
Today's scenic place is Charleston Falls Nature Preserve near West Charleston, Ohio. I have wonderful memories of Charleston Falls. When we were kids, my parents would take my sisters and our cousins to the falls to picnic and make up stories about the cave.
Now that I have a son of my own, I take him to Charleston Falls every now and then to enjoy the beauty of the place and learn more about the history of the land.
It's no Niagara Falls, but it you visit the preserve after a good soaking, you'll understand why so many people flock to the place. The woodsy smell in the air, the rabbits and squirrels moving about, and the sound of the water trickling into the stream below are enough to help your mind escape the daily hustle and bustle of life.
