Yesterday we took a trip back in time and visited the Ohio Renaissance Festival. Although it was miserably hot we still ended up having a great time!
Before we even entered the front gates, Jace was saying this place is awesome, everything looks like it did back in the day. Yes, the castle like entrance sets the atmosphere for the 30-acre re-created 16th Century English village that offers over 400 years of fun in a single day!
The festival offers around 100 shows daily on 11 stages, 135 unique arts and crafts shops, hearty food and drink, games of skill and human-powered rides to amuse all ages.
There is definitely something for everyone at the Ohio Renaissance Festival. The boys loved watching the live jousting show, making their way through mazes and playing several fun games. Craig loved the food, his faves being turkey legs and kettle corn and Mom and I loved browsing all of the little shops that offered everything from jewelry to swords, costumes, floral headbands and much more.
You can take a trip back in time too --the Ohio Renaissance Festival is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30-6 now through October 25th.
